About Heather

Heather’s passion lies in the integrated nature of things. Her undergraduate degree in Human Ecology propelled her to pursue the intersections of ecology, art, religion and philosophy. Heather has a BA in Human Ecology, from College of the Atlantic, a MA from General Theological Seminary (of the Episcopal Church) and was trained in facial prosthetics through the Bronx VA Medical Center and Columbia University, NYC. In addition to this blog, Heather provides facial prosthetics for patients who have experienced facial losses. Heather brings more than a decade of administrative experience in natural and cultural history museums, environmental education and programming in the arts and sciences. Heather’s own personal journey through years of chronic pain included an education through the varied holistic disciplines available for patients. She comes to Now Age New Media having had direct experience with many modalities, providing her with insight and a working language around natural alternative choices.
